Founder and CEO Cemeré James and her team are true curators of family culture, crafting digital, literary, and physical representations of life’s most sacred resources—wisdom, resilience, and love. Through these products, Intangible Treasures fosters stronger connections within families, chosen families, and communities, ensuring that every generation benefits from the lessons and stories of those who came before.


Cemeré is an executive leader and policy advisor with expertise in child development and racial equity. She currently as interim executive director at the Center for Law and Social Policy. For five years, Cemeré served at the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) in senior and executive roles. Cemeré has led advocacy work at the national level developing and implementing strategies to influence and shape government policies and raise public awareness on issues that impact Black children’s education and overall health and wellbeing.
