End-of-Life Planning and Care Seminars

Seminars to equip you with the knowledge and insight needed for effective end-of-life planning.

Most of us don’t want to think about death. I’ve always taken time to plan for my life, but I’ve never really taken time to plan for my death. Very recently, my family and I received a presentation from “end-of-life doula” Darthula Young of “ROOTED IN DIGNITY.” To be honest, I was not looking forward to discussing preparing for my death.
To my surprise, the presentation wasn’t depressing, morbid, or frightening at all. On the contrary, the presentation was extremely affirming, informative and inspiring. I never realized, due to my own denial, how unprepared I was for my own death. Darthula’s presentation really opened my eyes to things I chose to avoid in the past.
The presentation was exceptionally interactive and comfortable. Not only did it cover the dying process, the legal aspects, and the various options, it even demystified my concept of “death” itself. Most importantly for me, we learned how to make the process easier for your loved ones.
Let’s face it, death is inevitable. We owe it to ourselves and our families to prepare for our own death to the best of our capabilities. Thanks to Darthula Young and “ROOTED IN DIGNITY,” I feel better informed and prepared than ever before. Kenny Young (writer/director)

"Information about grief and hospice and end-of-life care was very informative. So much about end of life, planning, preparation and care that I knew nothing about."

What We Do

Provide Knowledge and Comfort to Those in Need

It’s not uncommon to be unsure of how to prepare for and effectively address death. We understand why many people are reluctant to talk to loved ones about their end of life. In addition, many families are not aware of the multitude of documents essential to end-of-life planning, such as medical orders for life-sustaining treatment, a living will, and durable and healthcare powers of attorney. We offer individual services and seminars to help with just that! Our goal is to ensure you leave us feeling knowledgable, supported, and grounded
